What We Believe

The King’s Coalition brings together Christians from a variety of traditions and doctrinal perspectives (some are explored here), united by a shared commitment to embrace our differences and pursue greater unity within the body of Christ for the advancement of God’s Kingdom. We affirm the Apostles Creed as a foundational expression of our faith, providing common ground for Protestants, Orthodox, and Roman Catholics to stand together in agreement on the core tenets of Christianity.

God

We believe in the one true God, the Creator of all things, who brought the universe into existence ex nihilo. We affirm that God is triune—one eternal being existing in three distinct persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Each person of the Trinity is fully and equally God, sharing the same divine essence, and all are worthy of our worship and adoration.

Jesus

We affirm that Jesus of Nazareth, the historical person, is both fully God—the second person of the Trinity—and fully man as the incarnate Son of God. Being of the same substance as the Father, He willingly died for our sins through Roman crucifixion, was buried in the tomb of Joseph of Arimathea, and physically rose from the dead on the third day, triumphing over sin and death.

The Holy Spirit

We believe that the Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity and is fully God, co-equal with the Father and the Son. The Holy Spirit seals and indwells all believers, convicting the world of sin and imparting new life to those who trust in Christ. He continues to work within the Church, bestowing spiritual gifts to equip and empower believers for the work of God’s Kingdom and the edification of the body of Christ.

Salvation

We believe that salvation is received by grace through faith in Christ’s atoning death on the cross. Therefore, we believe that Jesus Christ is the only way to the Father and there is no salvation apart from believing in Christ, receiving him as Lord and Savior, and committing to follow him in thought, word, and deed.

Scripture

We affirm that Scripture is the Word of God, consisting of the sixty-six books of the Old and New Testaments. Through these divinely inspired writings, God has revealed His personal message to humanity, making Scripture a holy and sacred text, fully authoritative and trustworthy.

Humanity

We believe that all human beings are created in the image of God, yet every person is fallen and in need of redemption. We affirm that God created humanity as male and female, each reflecting His divine design and purpose.

Marriage

We affirm traditional marriage that was purposefully designed and ordained by God between one man and one woman.

Pro-Life

We are firmly pro-life and strongly oppose abortion, except in cases where there is a clear and direct threat to the mother’s life, such as in the case of an ectopic pregnancy. In such instances, we recognize that the decision, though heartbreaking, may be necessary to save the mother's life, and we view this as a pro-life stance.
