Devotional #9

John was unsettled—a stranger was casting out demons in Jesus’ name, yet he wasn’t part of the Twelve. Surely, this was their work! But Jesus’ response was unexpected: “Do not stop him… whoever is not against us is for us” (Mark 9:39-40). How often do we, like John, dismiss others serving Christ simply because they don’t belong to our group? Jesus reminds us that His Kingdom is bigger than our personal circles. Instead of drawing lines, let’s celebrate God’s work in all His people. Today, ask: Am I recognizing God’s work in unexpected places, or resisting it out of pride?
